What is Racing Prodigy?
The Prodigy Three (P3) Championship Series offers an incredible opportunity to sim racing talent, providing them a pathway to real life motorsports. The aim of the competition is to reduce the financial barriers to pursuing a career in motorsports, levelling the playing field.
The P3 drivers have a range of backgrounds, and earned their spot in the Championship by winning online esports tournaments on platforms such as iRacing, RaceRoom, rFactor2, and mobile game Street Kart Racing, or being selected by Prodigy Search Committees.
They then competed at Atlanta Motorsports Park for Prodigy Week back in May, where they were tested in race cars, fitness and communication. Next, they were selected at the Prodigy Draft (or voted in as a practice squad driver) hosted inside the Williams Racing Fan Zone in London during the British Grand Prix in July 2024.
The teams participating come from a range of backgrounds such as esports like Guild and G2 Esports, as well as established names in motorsports like Williams and footballer Thibaut Courtois’ TC Racing.
