Guild Esports, a leading global esports organisation, has its jersey featured in EA FIFA 23, as part of FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT).
Fans of FIFA 23 can purchase the official Guild jersey in-game on FIFA until 9 February 2023. In celebration of the jersey being released in-game, Guild launched a social campaign with a hero video featuring in-game footage of Guild co-owner David Beckham in the striking new jersey.
The in-game jersey is now worn by Guild Esports’ professional FIFA players, Nicolas Villalba (‘nicolas99fc’) and David Sánchez Sereno (‘davidss_07’), at tournaments including the FIFAe Club Series 23 which was played last week (Thursday 2 February).
During the 2023 season, Guild’s FIFA players will be taking part in numerous global competitions. Nicolas Villalba is the current eChampions League title holder, and will be aiming to defend his title to win a share of the $280,000 USD Prize Pool. The finals for the event take place in Istanbul this June, on the week of the UEFA Champions League Final.
Jasmine Skee, CEO of Guild Esports, commented: “This has been such an exciting launch for us. To have our jersey in-game within FIFA demonstrates the growing popularity of the Guild brand and our players within the wider gaming community. Additionally, having our co-owner and FIFA Ultimate Team Icon, David Beckham, in the game has been an exciting way to bring Guild FIFA to life in 2023.”
Nicolas Villalba (‘nicolas99fc’), FIFA player at Guild Esports, commented: “Having the Guild Esports jersey in-game is really special for us, as it’s the organisation we have chosen to play for professionally. I’m looking forward to playing in the jersey both in-person and in-game at all of our tournaments this year, it may even bring us more luck and success!”
