Local schools taking part in inaugural Subway Future Talent Series, 7-9 December, 2022.
Subway® and Guild Esports, a global esports team organisation, are working together to positively impact school children in the London area by organising and hosting the first-ever Subway Future Talent Series, taking place in Shoreditch on 7-9 December.
Being held at the iconic Sky Guild Gaming Centre, this new grassroots initiative from Subway aims to fuel the next generation of gaming stars and offers young students – from across Tower Hamlets, Islington and Shoreditch – the opportunity to experience the world of esports at a professional facility.
As the Official Partner of Guild Academy, Subway is committed to utilising its partnership with Guild for the benefit of young people, with the inaugural activation this December being the precursor to positively impacting 1,000+ school children in 2023.
There will be six gaming sessions held across the three days, focusing on educating and training the young gamers, with Subway UK & Ireland and Guild welcoming up to 72 attendees in total from local schools.
Mays Elansari, Regional Brand Marketing Director, EMEA, said: “We believe in the power of community and are committed to impacting the lives of young people through our partnership with Guild. As the Official Partner of the Guild Academy, we have long been playing a role in empowering the next generation of gamers and creating the Subway® Future Talent Series is a dedicated platform to inspire future gamers to follow their dreams. While their aspiration grows, we will continue to fuel them with nutritious, great-tasting food they need to reach their goals.”
Rory Moran, Director of Global Partnerships at Guild Esports, said: “We embrace Subway®’s vision to benefit the lives of young people as part of our partnership, as it aligns with our own values and beliefs on community support. The launch of this new initiative could not have come at a better time, giving an extra gift in the run up to Christmas to the school children in our area. We can’t wait to open our doors to them, witnessing young gamers developing new skills at our HQ, and all under the guidance of our experienced and highly-professional esports coaches and in-house talent.”
Demonstrating the successes of Guild Academy, young stars of the future are already progressing with Guild and now Subway will also be supporting such progression with gaming bundles, enabling young talent to reach their potential from home as well as from the Guild Academy HQ.
