Guild Close Gap in Thrilling Prodigy Racing Battle

Will Redford on his way to victory in Atlanta

The Guild Prodigy Racing Team delivered its most commanding performance of the 2025 Prodigy 3 (P3) Championship season in Atlanta, dramatically narrowing the gap to just a single point behind leaders TC Racing with one event remaining.

Guild showcased their championship credentials with a clean sweep of head-to-head victories against G2 Esports and Suckerpunch.

Leading from the Front

20-year-old Will Redford continued his exceptional 2025 form by claiming P1 in both races, cementing his position as one of the championship's elite drivers. His flawless driving was complemented by strong supporting performances from teammates, with Nathan Maximin securing P2 against G2, while Laurens Beerten and Maximin completed an impressive podium lockout against Suckerpunch, finishing P2 and P3 respectively.

Under the expert guidance of racing legend Katherine Legge serving as coach and Team Principal Seb Hawkins at the helm, Guild has transformed into a formidable racing outfit on the tarmac. Legge's wealth of experience across IndyCar, DTM, and sports car racing has proven invaluable in developing the team's race craft and strategy.

"I’m a big fan of the track here at Atlanta Motorsports Park," said Redford after his double victory. "It reminds me a lot of the tracks in the UK, lots of elevation, very tight, very twisty. The tracks so far have been very traditionally American - very flat. Atlanta is a great challenge for someone who isn’t quite a pro, as if you can deliver here, you’ll find other circuits a piece of cake!”

Down to the Wire

The P3 Championship, which offers sim racers the unprecedented opportunity to compete in real cars, has rapidly gained popularity in the racing community. Competing in Radical race cars, drivers have faced an additional challenge as the engineer power limit have progressively increased throughout the season, testing their adaptability and technical prowess.

The championship battle has essentially become a two-horse race between Guild and TC Racing. Both teams have demonstrated remarkable consistency, each winning seven races while suffering just a single defeat. With Guild now sitting just one point behind TC Racing and a comfortable 20-point cushion over third-placed Williams Esports, the stage is set for a dramatic head-to-head finale at NOLA.

In the drivers' standings, Guild's roster continues to show impressive consistency. Redford currently sits fourth with 61 points, while Beerten follows closely in fifth position with 57 points. Maximin holds seventh place with 51 points, giving Guild exceptional depth compared to their competitors.

Team Principal Hawkins expressed confidence in his squad's championship prospects: "What we achieved in Atlanta demonstrates the potential we've always seen in this team. Our drivers have responded brilliantly to the challenges of mastering these Radicals, in contrasting conditions.”

Aimee Departs

As per championship regulations, all teams were required to reduce their roster following the Atlanta races. Guild has confirmed that Aimee Frame will depart the team ahead of the season finale. Despite leaving, Frame's achievement as one of only two female drivers in this season's championship, and having only turned 18 during the championship, suggests a promising career lies ahead.

"Aimee has been an incredible asset to our team," commented Hawkins. "Her talent and determination have been evident throughout the season, and we have no doubt she'll continue to succeed in motorsport."

All eyes now turn to the championship finale at NOLA Motorsports Park on March 29-30, where Guild will attempt to overtake TC Racing in what promises to be a dramatic conclusion to the season. With identical 7-1 records and just one point separating the teams, the Radical cars at their most powerful configuration yet will provide the perfect battleground for this championship showdown.
